WHAT TO WEAR TO THE OFFICE HOLIDAY PARTY
November 16, 2009

Whether its a big soirée at the hottest club across town or a simple get together around the water cooler, your holiday party is an opportunity to glam up your look and celebrate the season. Make sure you have the fashion dress code right for the occasion with these simple rules.

Work-day Events: For parties that take place either in the office or during office hours, you’ll want to keep your look more professional, adding a festive touch when the time arises. Take a classic suit, in a dressier fabric and swap out your poplin blouse for a cute camisole, or swap your blazer for a novelty overpiece or bolero. Or, rely on your footwear and accessories to do the trick, swapping those practical flats for a great pair of heels, or a classic string of pearls with an accessory with a bit more glam, like a pair of rhinestones earrings, bracelet or necklace.

Evening Affairs: If your holiday office party is a cocktail event or other nighttime occasion, take this opportunity to show off a side of yourself not normally seen during the formal constraints of nine-to-five hours. Go for a look that is elegantly understated like a figure-flattering dress shift dress in a luxurious fabric. This way, the quality of the garment and how it hangs will leave you looking leagues above those who choose to shine in skimpy attire instead.

Overall, holiday parties are not only a great place to socialize with co-workers in a new environment but a way for you to show your boss that you can look stylish, professional and classy, no matter the occasion.
